I have a question on KVM CPU. What if for some reason, I left a process running that eats cpu. E.g. a script that continuously convert a video file from one format to another in an infinite loop for a day. Will it abuse the node? Or is it because of good isolation of KVM, will not affect anyone? CP...

If you look at the prices they are very reasonable and considering how nodes looks when filled you would be very surprised

Actually the ftp.debian.org may be the bottleneck, so switching to a different repository can make a lot of difference when you are doing a lot of upgrade

I worked with some gis softwares 7-8 years ago (including postgis on postgres). But never had them run into a virtual machine, so if you do please let us know

There are tools and system values to look at but when you have one hundreds of users running on a node it's not so easy
