Hi,
I've been looking around the internet for a guide on how to setup and configure a Windows 2008R2 VPS as a VPN server (PPTP). Do you have such a guide? Or can you point me in a direction with a functional guide?

Welcome Rasmus !
Well, it depends what kind of server. For example:
1. PPTP:
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/libr ... s.10).aspx
2. OpenVPN:
http://community.openvpn.net/openvpn/wi ... dows_Guide
You can also install simple proxies (socks 5 recommended or only allow your IP through firewall)
If you need a speciffic kind of setup, please let me know and I will suggest something.
The reason i didn't put such a tutorial yet is that I always figured that people that need to escape state surveillance or other restrictive environments are not Linux gurus, nothing against Windows, you are the first person that asks for such a thing, this is why I ask so you can share what you need it for, so maybe a make a specific tutorial for it.

I'll see what I can do when I have a bit of time, maybe in w-e, however, i still don't know why would someone need to install a VPN server in a windows machine when it could be put in linux without ever touching the VPS at a cost of 50 cents a month...
But, vox populi, it will happen some way or the other
