Another Solus vulnerability ?

Post by Admin » Tue Jun 18, 2013 9:38 am

We are receiving reports of other host's solusvm panel being hacked and we believe there might be another exploit in the wild.
As such, we took down our solusvm panel for the public access.
As information comes out, we will be taking various measures in order to mitigate this new potential threat.
We will be keeping you posted about this.
In the meanwhile, if you need reboots, reinstalls, etc, please open a ticket, we will try to answer them as soon as possible.

Solus patched with latest version but we are not yet confident the worst is over, so we keep it locked only accessible by admins.
In the meantime, if you need to so some action such as reboot, reinstall, please open a ticket, we will do it for you in a few minutes, usually.

Solus is now running latest version and is open to the public.
Lets hope they found at least the most obvious bugs and it is ok for now.
Keep recent backups ! You know we created the conditions for you, there is no excuse, ftp space is free !

The solus modul used by whmcs to control the nodes has been locked up.
Please do not try to use the billing panel for various operations, login directly to solus.
Also, this means that provisioning will be done in batches, it will take some time, as automatic provisioning is no longer working. We will honour the 24 hours promise in any case, if 24 hours passed and you havent got your vm, please open a ticket, most likely there is another problem.
